Carie Grant is a professional dog trainer and behavior specialist. Puppy training is her passion! She unlocks strong obedience skills, socially savvy play skills, emotional resilience, and always encourages fun with focus.
Her particular brand of puppy training helps young ones avoid future behavioral issues with the correct, age-appropriate experiences. And she invests the time necessary for each pup’s careful socialization, so they learn polite play skills for a lifetime of canine joy and friendship!
Carie graduated with distinction from the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior, studying under Nan Arthur. Keenly interested in puppy development, she has studied rigorously, and presented on the topic for such groups as The Junior League of Denver, and the Platte Valley Humane Society.
Advanced education about all aspects of dog training is a priority – so she regularly studies topics such as leash reactivity, fear and phobias, solutions for barking dogs, and inter-household canine aggression. She has attended seminars with internationally recognized presenters such as Patricia McConnell, PhD; Debbie Martin, RVT, VTS, CPDT-KA, KPA-CTP on assisting dogs with deep Separation Anxiety; Grisha Stewart’s Behavior Adjustment Training; and the powerful program on Understanding and Preventing Canine Aggression by Julie Shaw of Purdue University Animal Behavior Clinic.
