For puppies 14 weeks and older
Once your pup is fairly reliably house trained, the focus changes. Now is the time to learn the solid obedience skills your pup will need to develop into a wonderful family dog! Your puppy will spend two weeks learning a strong puppy portfolio of Sit, Down, Stay in Both Positions, Polite Greetings, Leave It, Coming When Called and Loose Leash Walking.
Just as important, know that the first 5 months of a puppy’s life is a short window in which they learn how to navigate social situations with other dogs. They are open to new people, and to new sensory experiences. We take advantage of this time to help your puppy learn how to play nicely with others. In addition, their work with careful humans teaches them trust, confidence and resilience when challenged.
Once this 5-month window passes, it is natural for puppies to become more inward-turned and somewhat less open to new experiences — so it is so important to feed their little minds and hearts during this early time.
If your pup has passed the 5-month window — no worries! It is always a good idea to expose your puppy to a fun, stimulating, educational program. They will be good teenagers in the company of other good dogs and puppies — always a winning recipe!
